ILO Regional Director bids farewell to Minister Rwanyindo

The outgoing International Labour Organisation Regional Director, Ms. Kawar Mary, whose service in office ends this month,   on 10.10.2017 bade farewell to the Minister of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA); Hon. Rwanyindo Kayirangwa Fanfan. 

Discussions were centered on good relations between MIFOTRA and ILO and efforts to sustain them.

The Ministry of Public Service and Labour and ILO have worked together on various matters pertaining to labor and employment including the revision of laws regulating labour, national employment policy and the decent work country program, among others.

Kawar said that she was happy to have accomplished her tour of duty and that Rwanda and ILO will continue to enjoy excellent mutual relations.

Hon. Rwanyindo Kayirangwa Fanfan, Minister of Public Service and Labor thanked Ms. Kawar for the period she spent working well with Rwanda as ILO Regional Director for East Africa Countries and wished her good luck in her new endeavors.

Ms. Kawar  has worked with the ILO for twenty years now, holding various positions in the areas of employment, skills development, youth and gender.
