Human Resource Managers urged to work efficiently

From 11th to 13th July, 2017 at Lemigo Hotel, Kigali, Human Resource Managers from various Public, Private and Civil Society Institutions are pursuing a training on Human resource management themed “Advancing the Strategic Role of Human Resource Managers in Rwanda".

While officiating at the start of the training , Hon. Judith UWIZEYE, Minister of Public Service and Labour; reminded HR Managers that the role of Human Resource Managers is critical in accelerating the country's development.

“Human Resource Managers must be able to help create enabling environments for staff development, institutional bonding and morale for high performance. There is therefore need for our Human Resource professionals to be highly skilled and professional in order to facilitate human and institutional development.” Disclosed Hon. Uwizeye during the opening ceremony.

Hon. Minister Uwizeye said that the Government of Rwanda has put many efforts in improving policies and laws on Human Resources Management and has positioned the function of HR at strategic level, introducing the positions of HRM Specialists during the restructuring of Public Service Institutions carried out in 2014.

Hon. Minister of Public Service and Labour also called upon the Human Resource Managers to be part of the efforts aimed at improving HR Management and actively contribute to effective formulation of human resource management policies, elaboration of human resource laws and their implementation.

During the training that will last three (3) days, HR Managers will have an opportunity to share skills, knowledge, experiences and best practices to strengthen Human resource function and contribute to institutional development and their capacity development.

The training is organized by the Ministry of Public Service and Labour,  the Capacity Development and Employment Services Board (CESB) and the Belgium Technical Cooperation (BTC).
