The Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA), in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA Rwanda) and the Skills Development and Employment Promotion Project (SDEP), concluded a five day Local Training with a certificate awarding ceremony for 80 employment support and career guidance professionals from government institutions, universities, and other employment related organizations. The training was designed to strengthen participants' capacity to deliver quality employment services and career guidance across the country.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Permanent Secretary of MIFOTRA, Mr. Clement Kabiligi, thanked KOICA Rwanda, the Project Management Consultancy team, facilitators, and participants for their commitment to the success of the training. He also welcomed KOICA's new Country Director to Rwanda and reaffirmed MIFOTRA's commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between Rwanda and the Republic of Korea in promoting employment and skills development.

The Permanent Secretary urged participants to put the knowledge and skills acquired into practice, emphasizing that the true success of the training will be reflected in stronger employment services, improved career guidance, and better outcomes for job seekers. The initiative forms part of the broader Skills Development and Employment Promotion Project (SDEP), which seeks to enhance employment service delivery and contribute to Rwanda's socio-economic development.
