MIFOTRA Hosts Career Fair to Link Diaspora Youth with Employment and Skills Opportunities in Rwanda
The Ministry of Public Service and Labour (MIFOTRA) organized a Career Fair for participants of the Rwanda Youth Tour, bringing together 50 young Rwandans from the diaspora with institutions from the finance, aviation, telecommunications, and technology sectors. The event provided a platform for participants to explore employment and internship opportunities while establishing valuable professional connections with potential employers in Rwanda. As part of the program, participants attended an interactive session led by the Ag. Chief Skills Officer, who highlighted Rwanda's Vision 2050 employment aspirations, the evolving skills demanded by the labour market, and the career opportunities available to young professionals.
The session also showcased government initiatives that support youth employability and skills development. Participants were introduced to key employment and learning platforms, including the National Professional Internship Program and the INGAZI online learning platform, which provide opportunities for young people to enhance their skills and improve their competitiveness in the labour market. The Career Fair reaffirmed MIFOTRA's commitment to connecting Rwanda's diaspora youth with opportunities that enable them to contribute to the country's socio-economic development.
