On Tuesday April 26th 2026, Hon. Minister Christine Nkulikiyinka led the observance of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, bringing together stakeholders including Rwanda Social Security Board, World Health Organization, Rwanda Biomedical Centre and Private Sector Federation (PSF) Rwanda to reflect on advancing safe, healthy, and productive workplaces across all sectors. The discussions further underscored the importance of strengthening prevention mechanisms, enhancing compliance with safety standards, and reinforcing a culture of safety at all levels. It also highlighted the role of Occupational Safety and Health Committees in identifying risks and promoting workplace well-being. Continued capacity building efforts were also mentioned as one of the key interventions to equip institutions with the skills required to advance OSH practices.
Hon. Minister Christine Nkulikiyinka reaffirmed a collective commitment to promoting workplace wellness as a strategic investment in productivity, institutional resilience, and national development, while strengthening partnerships to ensure safe, healthy, and dignified working environments for all.
