Minister Rwanyindo urges Job Seekers to exploit opportunities available in employment interventions

Today 03rd  May, 2018, Hon. Minister of Public Service and Labour; Rwanyindo Kayirangwa Fanfan, opened the 5th Edition of the job net at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, an event that attracted around 3,000 participants. .
Addressing participants, Hon. Minister urged the youth to make use of many employment opportunities under the National Employment Program.
She emphasized that the National Employment Program helps young people acquire employable skills and get supported to get startup toolkits and startup capital in close partnership with Business Development Fund (BDF).
Hon. Minister Rwanyindo urged young people to seek advice and support from  Business Development Advisors (BDA) who are at Sector Level and can advise them on their business project proposals and ideas. She further urged them  to have the right attitude and understand that they can start small businesses and make them grow big, noting that  nothing can be achieved without making some sacrifice and efforts. 
Minister of Public Service and Labour commended the Job Net for effectively linking job seekers and potential employerssince its 1st Edition in 2014. She further encouraged employers to bring young graduates on board and expose them to workplace realities in order to help them acquire employable skills and relevant work experience. 
Muhongerwa Patricia,  Vice Mayor in charge of social affairs  in the City of Kigali, thanked Minister Rwanyindo for presiding over the official opening of the 2018 Job Net Event and requested employers to increase the number of young graduates who get internships and jobs.
The 05th Job Net Event is organised by the City of Kigali through the Kigali Employment Service Centre, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Service and Labour, the Private Sector Federation  and other stakeholders and partners.
