MIFOTRA PRESENTED EMPLOYMENT AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN RWANDA TO 50 RWANDAN YOUTH FROM DIASPORA

Wednesday - July 31st, 2024, the Ministry of Public Service and Labour introduced both current and future employment and business opportunities in Rwanda to Fifty Rwandan diaspora youth, aged 18-29, currently in Rwanda for a two-week tour. We connected them with companies and recruitment agencies that inspired and guided them on how to contribute to Rwanda's development.

Francois Ngoboka urged them to value the opportunities provided by the Country, emphasized the support that  our Country is offering to the Rwandan community abroad.

The participants were given a chance to gain valuable testimonies and insights from their peers who returned back and are effectively contributing to the development of Rwanda. Jean Marie Kananura, a panelist, shared his inspiring journey. He grew up and studied in Belgium, worked with a financial institution in Brussels, and later chose to move to Rwanda. Today, he serves as the Chief Investment Officer at the Kigali Finance Center.

In his concluding remarks, Kananura encouraged other young people in the diaspora to explore employment and business opportunities in Rwanda, highlighting the country's growing potential.

Now at the fourth time, the Rwanda youth tour brought together 50 participants from eight different countries: Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, the United States, Kenya, Uganda, and Ivory Coast. The participants, all aged between 18-29, include 49% who have never been to Rwanda or have not visited in more than four years.
